Lightbulb looking for some advice on projector retrofit

Ive been doing some reading on a couple forums (HIDPlanet, Retrofit Source, etc.) and I'm really set on doing q45 projectors on the bottom with tsx on top. Now my problem is I still want to be able to use my high beams. I've read there is a way to mod the TSX to be high/low but it is very difficult. Has anyone modded there TSX projectors to be high/low? Really kinda torn here looking for some projector guru advice

Just a pic for reference

If you're talking about the picture that's not mine that's another members on the board i was just using it for a reference, haven't bought the projectors yet because I still haven't decided if I'm willing to lose the high beams. If you're looking for some I seen a FS thread on here where a guy was selling a set of OEM ones.

Oh shoot, thanks for the info, thought it was yours. I was gonna say use the Q ones as low beam, but i'm assuming the tsx is a better project for the low beam?

the q45 projectors look nice, but do you think the light output from G headlights is that bad? I think its very good.

I'd lose the TSX projectors. If you want both high and low beam on them, you're going to have to mod them to be bixenon with a movable shield and solenoid. Larry on HIDplanet did it, but back then, your choices for bixenon were mainly E55 or RS6 projectors. The TSX was more compact and had a sharper cutoff compared to those two.

Nowadays, you have more options. I would fit a FXR in the top for low/high function, and go with the Q45 in the lower portion.

Nice thanks for the info! I was looking at FXR but for some reason the thought never crossed my mind because i kept hearing about how TSX provides the best light output.

I don't think its that bad but it could be better lol also I wanted to go with a Quad set up and if I didn't do the retro I'd have too much glare IMO. The 8000ks i have on right now from the previous owner do set off some glare so i doubt putting another set would help. To be honest i just love the look of the Q45s I think they're going to look sick.
