how do you get a sharp cutoff line for projectors?

When driving in front of certain cars at night and looking in my rearview, there are cars that seem to change colors for their hid's as their suspension goes up and down. I know this is due to a very sharp cutoff point on your projectors. My question is how do you get a sharp cutoff line in your existing lights? Can it be done. I just love how the light flickrs and changes to different colors it looks amazing.
