What HID headlights do I need for my 2005 coupe?

I have a 2005 G35 coupe and i want to install 8000k hid bulbs. Do I need a kit? Or just the bulbs because i know that it already comes stock with 4300k headlights.

Your fitment is D2R. I highly recommend mrwong@statik. Great service and awesome prices.

Assuming he has not upgrade to 06+ headlights, then his fogs will use H4 bulbs - they are dual filament. The first filament serves as the fogs, the second serves as high beams.

I meant upgrading your headlights to 06+ headlights as they are different. I did not mean upgrade the entire car.

The H4 bulbs in your 05 headlights are halogen bulbs. You would need an HID conversion kit if you want HIDs. This, however, is strongly ill advised as it will cause glare to oncoming traffic.

For your headlights:

Low beam: D2R (HID)
Fog/high beam: H4 (halogen) *you can purchase an HID conversion kit, but this is ill advised as it will cause glare to oncoming traffic
