The only two instances I have seen is either

A. The Map lights are manually on. Surprising happens real easy when you are trying to take the lense cover off. It will get pressed on and you dont even know it.

B. They are faintly lit which is common with some LEDs since the LEDs dont require alot of juice. I doubt its this one simply because your switch is off and I have hear that will fix it.

Hope you are able to get this figured out!

I've been told that it is normal because of the very little amount of power is required to power the LED. Somebody did a test and said it isn't enough to drain your battery within a reasonable time.

they are fully lit and only have a slight dim when i press to go on or off.i replaced my battery and took about two weeks of sitting without driving and died.could the whole map light cluster be bad.what could happen that will cause them and only them to have constant current while off and only goes slightly dim when i press it again and assume its in the off position cause its dimmer.my freind is a nissan tech and said he never seen anything like that.
