Dome light issues
so ur saying the dome / door switch on the ceiling is what blew out ?
I just ordered some of these LED interior lights. When i get them i'll no dout be changing them with the door open so electricity will be at the bulb. From what i just read here I probably should disconnect the negative side of the battery before I replace the bulbs ?

It most definately is the BCM. I did this twice. First time I thought it was something I did after changing my dome lights to LED style type bulbs. I put them back stock and changed them again. Luckily for me the service tech where I get service when needed hooked me up. The BCM will have to be replaced and keys will need to be reprogramed.
If you fried the wire to where your not getting continuity through is than you almost 100% fried the bcm . Just tapping the positive and negative as fast as possible is enough to fry the bcm . If it does turn out to be fried before you go pay 1000+ and have to have your ignition changed or reprogrammed etc ,i can try to fix it for you . I have fixed them b4 on other cars .
i'm having the same issue with my dome/maps lights as well. I recently bought some LED's to replace the stock amber interior lights. When i first installed them it kept blowing the fuse so I replaced the fuse, brought them back and grabbed other LED's. These didn't blow the fuse but are frustrating to turn on as i have to hold the switch a couple of times just to get one of them to stay on while the other map light is trying to work but only flickers.
i know the fuse is good and i know i installed them the right way so i'm left thinking that the first LED's must of screwed something up because before i installed anything the stock lights worked fine. i'm hoping it's not the BCM as there's still power going to the lights, but maybe it needs to be reset (if so, is it as simple as disconnecting the battery, positive and negative terminal?).
Any ideas would help? Also i haven't replaced the door lights yet and the original stocks lights in there are still working fine
