Dome light issues

So today I was replacing my stock dome light bulbs to LEDs. I put one of the LEDs on backwards and heard a static sound. My dome or map light didn't work anymore. So i disconnected the battery and reconnected. The lights are now back on. However the open door function on the doom light doesn't work. The light does not turn on, however if i press the map light the lights work. I have it switched to door function also. I'm out of ideas and its frustrating. Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

Was anything metal touching the LED when you heard that static sound? Or what were you doing? Because you might of messed up the BCM and the only way to have it checked and reset would be to bring it to a dealership. The dealership is like the only place where they have that tool that they can use to do that with.

Or also make sure you check the fuse boxes to see if you blew any.

I put the led bulb in the wrong way I guess and thats when the sound occured. I checked all the fuses and they are fine. This doesn't sound to good. It sucks because everything works just fine except for the dome light. map lights works also.

Your in luck same thing happend to me yesterday took me forever to figure it out...

Ok go to your Fuse Box on the left side of your car open the panel and look at the fuse box map and go to Electrical Parts Section under " IGN " swap the fuses with the Spare - Make sure your battery disconnected

Sad times...that didn't work either. Was your fuse burned out? Could you see it from lookin at it?

You should be able to tell if your fuse is burned out or not. If you can't tell then you can always test it with this one tool that you can get from any auto shop.

You'll probably have to end up going to the dealership to get that sorted out because it most likely is a BCM problem. Expect to pay like $50+ though ..

I just got a new dome light assembly on eBay for $35 shipped. Average is around $80. Just search for "g35 overhead". There's a listing starting at $14 right now. It'll solve all your proems.
