KP Technologies Fog Light Module OFFICIALLY works on M45; and possibly G37!
I successfully installed the KP G35 Coupe Fog Module on my boys M45 today. Don't know if anyone has done this yet, but last I read was that Kevin said someone else tried it, but it never said whether it was actually completed. So, just letting people know that it does work on the M45 and most likely the M35 and probably G37 Coupe and Sedan.
The installation procedure is pretty much the exact same as the G35 Coupe. The only real difference on the M45 is the wire colors you tap into are different and the BCM is in a completely different location, which is behind the glove box. Although it's a pain to remove the glove box, it makes it EXTREMELY easy to run the wires from the Fog Module in the cabin to the under-hood relay by simply routing the wires right through the cabin air filter opening. This brings the wires out right behind the battery into the battery/IPDM compartment where you should (as I did) mount the KP under-hood relay. This keeps all the wires on the passenger side of the car and all the wires are completely hidden. Also, this install has the fogs running with ignition power, not the parking lights like many people like. And the fix for the lights staying on after shutting the car off is done in this install, which I believe was corrected in Kevin's installation instructions anyway.
So, I will be doing this definitely on my G. But being that some wires actually have to be cut in half or even touched to begin with, I will wait til my warranty is up to do this on my own car.
These pics are from my iPhone 4 using the HDR feature BTW!
