'06 sedan headlight bulb question?

I'm looking into upgrading the bulbs in my headlights on my '06 sedan, which are also HIDs btw.

I've been researching and I keep finding conflicting information.

For the low beam, in which I'm upgrading to 6000k from the oem 4300k, some people and websites are saying to go with a 2DS HID, and others are saying 2DR HID. I'm not sure which one to go with...

And for the fog/high beam, I just wanna upgrade to something a tad bit brighter, somewhat whiter and less yellow. Again I keep finding different info, that an H4 bulb is used, or Hb2, or even the 2DS HID bulb(which I imagine will create a crap-load of glare with the reflector)

I understand the 05 and 06 models are similar, but found out some minute differences, such as the headlight bulbs used between the different model years.

Can someone set me straight with the right info?
And if this is already brought up, sorry for posting a new thread, I've search, but just can't find the right info atm.

D2r bulbs can only be used .D2s is for projectors . Just pop out the old bulb and pop in the new one . The cheap bulbs are labeled as d2c which is just a universal bulb (d2r+d2s) . Fogs are h4 .Your not gonna find much that will match 6k hids .

Thanks for the info. My main goal was to upgrade the low beams to 6000k, and then possibly some newer fog/high beams, now I know what to look for. And I'm gonna be sure to stay away from those cheap universal bulbs, don't want them melting or messing up my headlights in any way lol.

If you look at your headlights on the lower portion of the headlight it should say something like "H1 DOT D2R". Thats how I figured out mine were the d2r and not the d2s.

Yeah, I finally stumble over over a post that said that after days of searching, checked it out and found out mine are 2DS on top and HB2 on the bottom.

Thanks for the reassurance

The only thing i can share about a good headlight bulb is that some of its wiring's must be enclave inside the headlights to make sure it will not be perished. also buy some the good bulbs to lessen problems that may push thru.
