Question Replacing my 04 coupe headlamps with 06 +

Hey guys.
I was wondering if I bought 2006 and newer g35 headlamps with the casing and HID bulb would they install into my 2004 g35 coupe without a problem, or would I need to put more work into replacing the single bulb with no housing that came with my 2004 g?

Thanks for the help!

06 projectors will plug and play on your g35. Just make sure you have ballasts from either the new set or your old ones as well as the different bulbs the new one use.

Btw you are from cali 805? What area?

So if I get the full set up of the new headlamps with casing, bulbs and all, as long as I have all the parts they will swap in and fit perfectly?

and I live in Thousand Oaks man, Im about to put some work into my stock G, wheels, coils and possibly spacers to start.. Do you live in the area?

If you bought the headlights with EVERYTHING, you can just connect the harness and you're good to go. If you buy it used typically you'll be missing a ballast or a few bulbs or something, but everything is interchangeable except for the foglights. The low beams really shouldn't be swapped due to the differences in the D2R bulbs and D2S's, but it is possible, just you may be causing some unwanted glare from your headlights.

Also remember to aim your headilghts after installing them.

Basically. Physically, the low beams can transfer no problems, just the light output may be undesired.

Fogs will not physically fit.

Everything else is free game and is straight plug and play: ballasts/igniters, city lights, harnesses, bolts/tabs.
