how to change the rear license plate lights

Hello,

I got under the back of the car last night in hopes that just unscrewing the 2 screws that hold the license plate light housing in place would be all there was. But come to find out that the housing is all once peace from left to right and his far too tight to just pull out through the hole.

How do I get the housing out of the bumper to replace the bulbs?

Thank you for your time

It is 2 housings that hold the license plate lights. Just use a screw driver and press in one of the clips and it will pop out. You don't even need to take off license plate in order to do so. Pop off the housing and then just twist the light assembly, like you would do your clear corners, and pull the light out. Rinse and repeat for the other side.

OK i just looked up a few pictures online and I see what your saying. Pop the light housing out of the metal frame that holds it. I was trying to get the metal frame (that is screwed into the bumper) off the back of the car.

Thank you
