Well the way I see it, if it turns out it doesn't affect performance but he thinks it does for some reason then he is probably an idiot as well

Harsh.

Don't think all this flaming is necessary - that's not what the forums are for.
He came here for advice...he got it. Unless u got some helpful suggestions for him, let it go.

You paid to have a shop paint the lense of your headlights??? Throw in some KY jelly cause you got raped bad. But aside from that **** up...it can be fixed. The lense was simply scuffed before any paint was applied so it can still be fixed. But it will take some work. Using light sand papers...nothing to course so you dont scour the plastic lense. Once you get the paint off you can follow up with some wet sanding with 1500-2000 and follow with a polish, and you should have at least a useable headlight.

Really? His car won't even pass a safety and you think he's not going to get tickets for something that makes his car invisible at night?

Hmm.

Ckez, he used base clear. It's a translucent type of paint.

What you can do, is get rid of the base clear and then bake your lights open and paint the inside of them.

Had it for 6 months, never got a ticket or hassled at all about it. I may try to paint the bezel
