****, I didn't take a picture. I put everything back in, but I found a picture online. This is exactly how the ballast looks. Notice how there is a brown connector in the center of the ballast and there is a gray connector to the side. The 06 projectors don't have the brown connector.

Wow...that sucks. Guess whoever you got them from decided to cut the wires going from the ballast to the projector instead of just unplugging the clip??? Not sure how to solve that problem.

Should have it, that's why asked if you bought new or used. Either contact the guy who sold to you unless he said no wires, or just take it from your old set.

That is called the ignitor . It runs through the housing on both lights and connects from the ballast to hid bulb . It comes on both year lights . Your problem is someone removed it from the lights you bought and probably sold it with the ballasts . They are usually sold together . You can get a matsu****a igniter anywhere seperate though for around 25 bucks each or use the one from your old lights which is the same

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-08...Q5fAccessories

There are 2 versions . a long one and a short one . Make sure you get the long ones .

No you are mistaken, that is just a picture that I found online. It is not my stuff.

Oh, I didn't know you could take that off. I think I just need to do that, but I will check with the seller if that wire was supposed to come with the headlights. I'll have to try changing the headlamps next weekend because I don't have time during the week days.

Surma884, Did you use the yellow wires from you 04 headlights on your 06? If so, then that's the problem.

I did the same thing. Remove the yellow wires and it worked perfectly.

Sorry can you explain? Do you mean the yellow wire shown above in the igniter harness?

Actually you don't have the yellow wires I'm referring too in the pic above.
It's just a loose wire which I belive was use for grounding in the 03-05 headlights.

PM if you have more questions, May be easier.

I remember reading your post now. It is https://g35driver.com/forums/general...nt-work-2.html

I have read many threads on installing the 06 projectors but this igniter harness was never mentioned so I didn't know what to do. I didn't see any loose wire so I think only the 05 may have it. Hopefully I didn't damage the HID bulb by not hooking up the igniter harness. I will hook it up this weekend and will update you guys.

My 06 projectors from ebay didn't have the ignitors either. Maybe they're not including them now days.
