HID bulbs

HID bulbs

I've tried looking around and i cant find it so sorry if it is somewhere here and i am asking again but anyways i am trying to buy HIDs and it asked me if i want 35w or 55w i have a 2003 coupe and im lost here. please help me out. which do i need.

i know i need the D2R bulbs but do i need them to be 35w or 55w

Are you installing an aftermarket HID kit? I can see needing to choose the wattage on one of those. But if you're just replacing stock headlight bulbs, you might want to look elsewhere as I've never had to choose a wattage when buying replacement bulbs.

i was looking at a aftermarket kit. but let me ask you this instead. should any replacement d2r bulbs fit into the stock ballast?

Simply put, yes.

Of course I'd recommend an offering from Philips or the like. But you can get any color you like and install and you should be fine.

No problem. There's a good bulb change DIY on here that I used when I did mine. Should provide you the info you need to swap the bulbs out.

Don't use AM bulbs, they run hotter and they're color temps don't always match each other. Stick with Philips like ^^^^he said!

i just ordered them off ddm. from what i have seem a few people from here ordered replacement bulbs from there and liked them a lot
