well it looks like ill be getting this mod done sooner than expected

long story short...my G got bapped earlier today as my gf's mom was backing her CL500 out of the garage, cracking my headlight housing and damaged the bumper and fender also.

got a quote to fix the car, and i was surprised that 1 new headlight assembly cost 900 bucks! So to all you who are rocking projector headlights on your sedans, how much would it cost for me to get a set of projector headlights on my car? Is there any vendor on here that performs this service? Do I need to provide a set of headlights for them to do the retrofit on? Any info I can get on this subject would be much appreciated!

Not too sure on who would do a retro, but most likely you are going to have to throw cash on top of the insurance check to get this mod done. It's not cheap. It's so involved, IvoryGT won't do another sedan projector retrofit. Good luck on the mod though! Post pics up if you do end up getting it done, I'm sure the community would enjoy seeing a clean sedan projector retro.

Hey Nat, sorry to hear about your ride being hit. The only vendor that ever did a Sedan retro was IvoryGT. He made a set for dofu a couple years ago, dofu never ran them on his car and I purchased them from dofu earlier this year. IvoryGT has said that he would never do another Sedan retro again because of the amount of work involved.

You do have options though. You can contact r1forever. He's done a few retros for Sedans and his work is great. I also know that mr_luv has done a retro for himself and he's thinking about doing it for others as well.

To answer your cost question, this is highly dependent upon what year your car is. Depending on the cost of labor if you have an 03-04 you can do this for $900 because you'd have the option of purchasing eBay headlights. The 05-06 is a different story. There are no eBay headlights only used and even used they are pricey, so it would very likely end up costing you more than $900.
