Righ side headlight cutting out

Hey, so I have a 2006 g35 coupe m6, and my headlights turn on fine at night with the switch, but after a bit i'll notice the right side is off. But whn i turn them off and back on again, it's fine. Any idea what this could be guys? Really bugging me, thanks.

Check the ignitor where it slips on to the back of the bulb. I know mine falls off all the time and it just needs to be pushed back on all the way!

Thanks, i'll try that, if this was the issue wouldn't it just not turn on though? Is the igniter easy to access? Thanks for the reply.

Yeah pop the upper round thing off you can reach it through the hood or pop the fender cover off in the tire well and reach it easier.

Nah the light is held in by that round piece so it might just not get a good connection sometimes but it cant fall out since its held in. Theres also a yellow grounding wire that may be a little loose. Hope that helps.

So I took a quick look at it, and couldn't really see what you guys were referring to, couldn't see a yellow ground wire either. Any further insight? Would rather not pull apart the inner fender well if I don't have to. What does the igniter look like, do push it back all the way on does it snap into place or? Thanks again guys.

The cap sits over the top bulb. You need to unscrew that and it should sit right under there. It will be squarish and have a round connector on one side. Most of the time this just pops off and the yellow wire sits right underneath that.

I cant find a picture right now, but if you wait til tomorrow i will snap a few pics in the morning.

The igniter should not be falling off btw. Did you guys not twist it and snap it in place?

Could it be a ballast issue?

I definetely think it's a loose connection. I turned them on lastnight and went over a bump and it flickered etc. I did this numerous time, so hoping this is an easy fix.

So I unscrewed the round cap for the upper bulb, and the saw the square box underneath tried pushing it back on an didn't move, so i'm guessing it's on as far as it can go. Then tried looking around for the yellow ground wire, couldn't seem to find it, could it be another colour perhaps? Let me know guys, if possible pics would be helpful, i'll be patient, it is christmas and all, haha. Thanks guys.

My driver side light was doing that and then it totally stopped working. It also randomly went on after wards and then died again. So I checked the connections and it worked to only have died again. So I broke the light bulb, took a pic and got replacements for free in the mail. I installed the new bulbs and all is good now.

D2S is what you'll need to buy.

I got mine from DDM.
