Headlight Bulb Melted...WTF!!!

I am so ticked off right now...

So last night my driver's side headlight went out and i decided to change it today...

I have had 8k Bulbs bought from this forum for about 2 months (aftermarket).

When i finally got to the bulb i tried to twist it like you are to get it out of the housing unit and it wouldnt twist no matter how hard i tried and i started to get frustrated. Upon further inspection i finally noticed that the black plastic part of the bulb had this irregular budge that looked like it had melted and hardened again.

Also when i opened the cap to get in to the headlights there was this horrible smell...

I didnt take any pics because it was dark and didnt have a camera with me i will attempt to get the bulb out tomorrow with some pliers or something and take some pics to show you guys...

Did anyone else have this problem before????
What did you do to fix this???

ive dealt with 03-07 g35 headlights since being an owner in early 07..ive done many mods, and helped with many problems users have had in the past..never heard of this happening..id say get authentic oem g35 headlight bulbs for ur car..could be cheap aftermarkets. as far as fixing ur problem..removing the bulb may require you actually opening the housing..theres many dyi's on the forum..and for the most part theyre really easy.

If they are from vendor, check their warranty- if it applies, send them back and get a replacement, maybe you got a bad batch ? :\

werd. I would suspect it was somehow contacting part of the circuit or something causing it to heat up... but it is really hard to judge without seeing how it was when it was in there.

Aftermarket or not.. I'm still curious what caused the problem. The internals of the HID bulb themselves? The melted sections look odd.
