Quad retros are gonna cost you, like $1,000+ if you don't do them yourself (a ton of work and parts). OEM 06+ projectors are best, you can always mod them later with black housings, leds, clear lenses, color mod, etc. Light output is waaaay above any ebay lights or OEM 2003-2005 reflector HIDs. Pics of mine:

Thanks man. Yup, all you have to do is spray paint the whole inside bezel black (I taped off the projector and the silver piece in front of the projector to keep them chrome/silver).

Ok, so the 2006 headlight will bolt up to a 2005 g35? Or do you need to retro fit the 2006 projector into the 2005 housing? Just making sure, thanks.

I'm also thinking about upgrading my '03 to projectors. I have a question. From what I've read it seems like the 06+ projectors handle the low beam and high beam with one D2S bulb. Does that mean you can't use a different color for the high beam like in the 2003 G?

Here's what I want to do:
low beam - 6000k
High beam H4 - 2600k yellow

Would that be possible if I upgraded to the 06 projector?
