03 Headlight Upgrade to 06 Projectors

Ok. I know this had been covered so many times but I am feeling really stupid because I cant come to a conclusion on exactly what I need. My passenger lowbeam bulb is either burned out or the ballast is lose(which i doubt) but i have not checked. I want to upgrade. I am also not sure if I will lose my "flash" ability. Where i can flash people. Do I just need to replace bulbs and ballasts? Or the housing also? I apologize and hope its understandable. Also do 6k bulbs have ok visibility? I am looking for whitest lights here not blue. Would rather have visibility. Thanks!

Before you swap your headlights to 06-07 projector one, you might wanna double check whether is your ballast's problem or not.

When you buy the 06-07 headlights (all bulbs included), they usually do not come with the ballasts.

So make sure yours old one is all right, you can simply swap your driver side's ballast to your passenger side to see if it works or not.

If the bulb is still not lighting it up then probably your light bulbs is dead.

Well, for the 06-07 headlights I believe the high beam is combined with your low beam, so it might take some time to lighting it up when you try to flash people. I might be wrong.

Basically, just check up with your ballasts to see if they are working fine or not (swap them around to see if they work okay or not). If one of them is dead then you can purchase them while you are looking for your new headlights (06-07 projector headlights).

It is really easy to put on the new 06-07 headlights, it is like plug-n-play.

If you want to replace the Philips 4300K OEM HID Bulbs (from new headlights), I will recommend you to buy the Philips HID Bulbs with different color temperature.

Because a lot of aftermarket HID bulbs have some issue after you have installed them. Like they die easily or two sides' color are not the same.

If you find a good vendor, it is fine to get those aftermarket HID bulbs. Make sure everything is working fine before you locked up all the screws for your headlights.

Because it might take you some time to actually take them out from the side if you have any problem with them.

Ok so let me get this straight. All I need is the actual casing for the headlights and the bulbs? I'll swap the bulbs out tomorrow to make sure.

Thanks

Yeah, you want to make sure either is the bulb's or ballast's problem.

You can swap the ballast around to do some testing.
