I saw somewhere that someone made led cup holders.

I had an idea to do the same thing .. kinda. I want to wire leds around the car in certain places ( i really have no idea, im just playing with ideas) but i dont want them to always be on. I want to get a door open (kinda) switch just like the ones in the vanity mirrors. one place would be the cup holders. but i dont want them to run with the cupholder lid shut (04 coupe). i can get power there easy, and placing them wouldnt be hard. but my issue arises because i do not know what switch to get. I need a 1/0 switch that works by depressing a button and i would place it somewhere in the lid area.
i realize as im typing i could just attach two small metal tabs , one to the bottom and one to the top, or something like that, but im looking for a microswitch of sorts. any ideas?

I have a better idea for you. Wire them to a switched harness that goes on with the lights. I did it in my ash tray to light up my bass control. easy
