The main reason I used the amber corners was to match the blinker in the 05 headlight. Going to that OE look. If I had 06 lights, I would have modded the blinker and a set of clear corners with 7443s and used amber LEDs.
Nice, almost got those. Really like the look.

Well it's not pretty, but it works.
I ordered up some 7443 harnesses and spliced the wires onto the existing 7443 wires to the blinkers in the headlights. I cut the back off of the amber corners to widen the hole enough the fit the 7443 sockets, but found I had to extend the back because the socket with the bulb were to long to fit. I siliconed (verb) a piece of PVC pipe to the back of the side-marker, then siliconed the socked to the PVC pipe. This was a huge pain and required multiple modification using a Dremel to ensure each piece fit together and was watertight. It is certainly custom work, and there isn't one specific "good" way to accomplish this. It's work, but it looks good and is a lot safer.
Functionality:
-Lights off: Second filament in side-marker and headlight blinker blink in unison when blinker is activated
-Parking/headlights on: First filament in side-marker and headlight blinker are on; Second filament in side-marker and headlight blinker blink in unison when blinker is activated

recently modded my 06 turn signals and am having some problems, can you share where you got the 7443 sockets and how you wired them...i opted to use glass halogen bulbs instead of leds but somehow i am still getting hyperblinking when the indicator is used...to make things more weird, the driver's side will blink at normal speed if no lights are turned on from the stalk but the passenger side always hyperblinks, yet both sides were wired the exact same way

Hey Drew: Ya, my lights are 05. Haven't modded 06 lights. You do not need to open the lights or this mod. you simply splice onto the wires feeding to the blinker.
