Bats Tints On Headlights

I've had the Bats smoked headlight overlays on my coupe for about 6 years now. The problem now is that they are old and the part where the lights shine out is darker and burned black. Is there a way to take off the Overlays? I've tried, but it wont come off and just chips off a little tiny bit off the corners. Or am I screwed and have to get new headlights?

If so, where can I purchase some nice quality halo headlights from (website)?

Thanks.

if i was you i will try sanding them out with a 600 grit sandpaper and water working my way up to 2000 grit for a really smooth finish, if they are really bad start with a 400 grit and to finish polish them with meguiars plastx

Wow, before going to that extreme! I would definately try using a heatgun or hairdryer on the overlay and try peeling slowly it should come off alot better then without heat. Just be careful not to damage the headlight with a heatgun as they can get very hot.

Yeah, I private mesaged BAT, but still no luck with getting a reply. I'm going to try the heat gun method and hopefully that will work. When I try the heat gun method, can I do this with the headlights still on the car without messing up anything else on the car? OR should I stop being lazy and take them off the car?

Thanks all for the replies. I just hate to spend $400 plus dollars on another set.

It should be fine still on the car, just be careful and don't point it directly on paint beside the headlight or point it at the headlight for to long.
