I just order some LED strip trying to install. I want them to turn on when i start the engine and turn off when its off. Where should i tap it into? i would think the side marker lights would be good but i didnt want to do it and **** something up. Can someone tell me what would be the best and most simple way.

 

I don't think the side markers come on unless the lights are on... You'll want to wire them to something that comes on with ignition. Get a test light.

 

get the add a circuit and connect it to the fuse box along with a fuse, also you can use DRLs and tab into them i guess?
are you talking about clearance strips?

 

Cigarette lighter. Thats where I tapped those lights into.

if they are going into the clearance strip they would look very good

 

LED's are okay depending on what kind of LED's you use, color, location of them ETC.

 

just tap it into the cig lighter. You can also install a switch to turn them on and off when you like.

 

Yeah i was gonna put them on and if i dont like it then i could always take them off.
