anyway, the bulb is a "D2R" not a "DR2". A philips 85126 is the exact bulb name.
There's two different kinds of Philips 85126:
85126: These bulbs color shift after hours of use, and will eventually turn whiter, then bluer (closer to 5000k). AKA: You lose more visibility when they get older.
85126+ These bulbs are prone to color shifting, so they stay at the optimum 4300k temperature MUCH MUCH longer, for optimum visibility. They're also rated higher lumens than the 85126. They become more of a pure white, then just stop (with a slight hint of yellow).
Both bulbs, when brand new, will seem pretty yellowish, but don't worry, it doesn't last (for those who complain about the color). They'll get brighter after about 5 hours of use, maybe a little more.
If you google "Philips 85126+ bulbs" you'll find plenty. but there are fakes out there, not many, but there are.
Here is a ebay vendor i've bought bulbs from, so i can attest to them being genuine.

They're more expensive than junk aftermarket bulbs, but you get what you pay for. The aftermarket bulbs have thinner glass, the arc is different, and in turn makes the hotspot different, giving you weird output. Also, the color is never really fully to what it should be. They'll also color shift MUCH faster, and die MUCH faster.
Hope this helps.

I have a 2006 g35 sedan (im far from tech savy when it comes to cars) my left headlight went out, ordered 2 x 35w d2s 6000k low beam xenon hid headlight bulbs off ebay. I tried both, they turned on for about 15 seconds, flickered and shut off. Turned the lights off and back on, the bulb did the same thing. I tried both bulbs, same results.
I ordered a brand new oem ballast, tried the bulbs again, same result. Finally (what i should've done initially) i took the bulb out of my right headlight (still working) tried it in my left headlight with the new ballast as well as the old ballast and it worked fine.
I then tried both new bulbs in the right headlight it came on and shut off again... The bulbs in my g35 intially are 12v35wd2r. Is there a big difference or do you think i got bad bulbs???

u got faulty bulbs..same thing happened to me when i got bulbs on here from a vendor not too long ago...i ended up getting new ones from mr wong on here from static motorsports..link in the beginning...they are perfect and 6k heat temp... theres no reason to stay with the oem heat temp that makes no diff. as far as what u were experiencing and i have zero visibility problems with the 6k as well as thousands of other ppl out there...
4300K = 3200lu
6000K = 2900lu

they're all probably made from the same factory with different stickers on them. It wasn't long ago (and maybe still is..)that people were all willing to shell out a lot of close to $300 for Phillips bulbs while the generic ones were going for $100 on ebay. Obviously, the prices have gone down proportionably, but generic is generic. The site vendors are probably selling the same bulbs that you see on ebay, you're pretty much paying for the vendor's name awareness and reputations.

i bought a set from a vendor on here they were faulty i then bought a set on ebay that worked fine but not the color i wanted so i then bought from another vendor on here the color i want and they have been working fine..all 3 sets of bulbs from the 3 diff. places looked slightly diff. and were all packaged diff. so im not so sure they are all the same. the ebay ones are a lower grade material and not as well packaged from what i gathered and observed (at least the ones i have). i found out that the ones i am using now from mr wong vendor are from the same factory overseas as my ebay ones i have but the ebay ones like i said were a lower quality material and not as good packaging but did work fine while they were in

i would recommend this vendor..great service, fast shipping and the bulbs are warrantied much easier if there is a problem than going back thru ebay. also the packaging was top notch compared to my other 2 sets i received..

my first ones i bought from a vendor on here that ended up faulty were not in a plastic cylinder and neither were the ebay ones i bought, they were both in a cardboard piece that kinda locks the bulb in but still not protected real good, i mean if someone squeezed the box they would have popped both sets..only my last set were in the plastic cylinder and in a box with packaging from the link i posted. mr wong.
