nono you guys are talking about two different things..
the 2003 G35 Sedans came out without HIDs. which is what the OP is talking about these lights can be bought NEW for around $500 for the pair.. Great for retro-fitting
2004 G35 Sedans came with HIDs and these actually cost a little more
DEPO and CG Distributions make a 03-04 headlight with black housing (ones that the OP is talking about) his original question was whether these lights were safe to work with. Reason he asked is because some aftermarket housings are not made for HIDs. HID temperature would get so hot that it would warp or melt the housing.
The answer was yes it's safe to use but when you reseal it the headlights look >.> because those aftermarket lights are not sealed with silicone but instead sealed with glue.
Now we're talking about alternatives to 2005-2006 headlights.. Unfortunately there are none =(
