Upgrading to 06 headlights
I have an 03 coupe and I am upgrading to 06 projectors. I did the mod to get DRL as I am in Canada. Everythings work EXCEPT the passenger DRL is not working. I switched the bulbs around but that didn"t work. I then switched the entire assembly and clearly something is wrong with passenger side assembly since it does not work on the drivers side plug. I checked all my connections and everything seems good. Could it be a broken wire in harness of the passenger side headlight assembly. Thanks in advance
You put in a DRL module, correct?
Those run your high beams at HALF voltage. They do this by running the High beams in SERIES circuit.
So to have ONE working and not the other means either A) They're wired wrong, or B) The DRL module has bad solders on it, remove the cover/casing and check it, you'll find some corroded looking connecitons, re-solder these and you'll be fine.

Unless you install your own control, your DRL's will not work after installing '06 headlights in a Canadian '03. If you mod the '06 headlights properly, you WILL NOT have daytimes, but you WILL HAVE proper function of all the lights...as if it were an American coupe.
Hey, I am planning on doing the same exact mod (I'm also from Canada). Any suggestions on how I can get this to work properly (like the stock 03 headlights with drls where I can leave the switch on auto and everything will take care of itself). Thanks in advance for your help!
