are 55w 10,000k D2r bulbs ok?

are 55w 10,000k D2r bulbs ok?

As the title says

There's someone local selling a pair of d2r 10,000k Bulbs but they're 55w. is that ok still with the wattage?

i have stock ballasts

I wouldnt do it. Anything over 6k you loose visibility. Also with a higher wattage you can burn the harness or anything else within the headlights.

how much of a difference in brightness would it be between a 35w and a 55w?

higher wattage its ok, because our halogen is more than 55W. the brightness difference would be 35/55x100%=? do the math lol

You will not lose very much visibility with 10,000k people ALWAYS act like you'll have no headlights. They won't produce as much light as a 4300k bulb, but neither does a 6k bulbs so yeah...

you need ballasts that can handle what the bulb is asking for, 35 watt ballast with 55 watt bulbs is no good..

10,000 is never ok. Don't put anything more than 6k.

some HID company has different K's colors. some make 10k looks like 8k, and 8k looks like 6k. but to be safe, i always go for 8k. i love white bluish.

thank you guys.

I figured 44w would risk damage to the ballasts and what not..

I'm going to stick with 8k 35w..love the ice white ouput
