50w bulbs instead of 35w?

So I ordered the Morimoto 50w replacement bulbs for my 07 G35 Sedan. When I yanked the old bulb I saw it's actually 35w, not 50w. Can I use the 50w bulbs without harm?

I'm wondering if I'm going to melt the housing, or if the 50w will just run at 35w?

Thanks!

In case anybody else is wondering... I called up theRetrofitSource (where I ordered the bulbs). They assured me that for HID's, there's no harm in running 50w bulbs in the OEM 35w ballast. For HID's, the current/amps/whatever is pushed from the ballast rather than pulled by the bulb like Halogen's. He stated he's personally running 50w bulbs in his 35w ballasts with no issues in his own vehicle.
