Angry Courtesy / Step Light LED..PLEASE HELP!!

ok so after asking the dealership to help me out with my step light LEDS, they quoted me $300!!!! to change out the freakin bulb!!!! In frustration I came home and just decided to do them myself. I popped off the lens and took the old bulb out. I had my new LED working for a couple seconds and when I went to pop the lens back in it cut out. After my hands freezing up I decided to give up and come here for help because I cant seem to get it to turn back on. The harness appears to be connected as I never disconnected it and was able to get the bulb in and out with no issues.. ive looked online and through the forums for a DIY but couldnt find anything.. any help would be appreciated..05 Coupe..

The only thing you can really do it play around with it. When I was installing all of my led's I had to play around with them a little bit, making minor adjustments before i got them all to work properly. I mean you only tried once...

Also make sure its the correct light. https://g35driver.com/forums/lightin...ent-guide.html

I had issues installing leds there too. I had to play with them A LOT to get it to work. The base on each side of these lights is a bit thicker than the oem lights. Try inserting it at different angles or reversing it and also try using the other bulb since you should have a set of two. Also you might just put the oem bulb back in for a second just to make sure nothing got disconnected or there is no other issue. Make sure its making contact though because the ends will be wider now because of you trying to get the leds in there. Leds seem to be VERY picky in that area.

I have the exact same issue. I bought the car that way and after reading this I realize it could be my bulbs... I'm going to pick up OEM ones to check it out.

I just replace those bulbs 15 minutes ago with these.

You really have to force them into the socket on both sides otherwise it sit correctly. Make sure the LED's are facing down when you install them as well.

I dunno if you are still having probs or not but what i did was clamp down the the metal holders on both sides until they were almost flat, then put the bulb in. You will have to force it in but the clamps will naturally secure it down and hold the bulb in place.
