Help with headlight please!

What is wrong with my headlight on the left hand side? It steps down for some reason and it is very annoying. I tried adjusting them up and down but that does not eliminate the step. It just moves it up and down.

When did you first notice this? Has it always been this way? I would try to swap the bulbs left/right and see if that changes anything. If it moves with the swap, it is likely the bulb... if not then some issue with the headlight itself.

I have a 04 g and have recently installed brand new 07 headlights and thats when i noticed the problem. I will try swapping the bulbs hopefully this weekend and update if that makes a difference. I seriously doubt this is a safety thing. Otherwise it would at least match and be the same on the other side. Also i have never been in another g with lights that do this.

its called a Z -step. They exist on all HID projectors. There designed to not blind on coming drivers but still light up signs on the side of the road. The Frensel lens on the projector kills much of the Z step but they exist on both sides.
