6k Bulb Review Phillips

Looking to change my bulbs and I had these in mind. Was wondering if anyone has used them. Or even if they are real phillips.

6000K immediately means that they are fake.

Looks like I was actually wrong regarding 6000K part, looks like they offer a new bulb called the ultinon which is 6000k.

I said that because typically true OEM bulbs do not go above 4300K.

At that price though, those are absolutely fake. They didnt even give a part number, or reference them as ultinon. You need to find a good, reputable seller. HIDs are riddled with fakes.

Yea I know there are true 6k oem bulbs. My girl has a benz with oem HID's and there not 4300k. I saw the ultinon on ebay and they are $190. I may get them but thats alittle out of my budget.

Are you sure they arent 4300K, it is hard to judge based on how it looks when you look at the headlight.

OEM bulbs truly are that expensive. I think the cheapest OEM bulbs would probably be philips 85122s.

If you have a lower budget, aim for good reputation aftermarket bulbs. The worst thing you can buy is fakes because they have absolutely no QC (no reputation to maintain since they are fakes) and they cost more because the seller knows you think they are the real thing.

I agree with you to some extent. Our reflectors arent worth the extra cost of awesome bulbs. 06 coupe projectors are another story....

But still, avoid fakes and go for good aftermarket.

Then the bulbs have been changed, or the are projectors and the lens if giving the impression of a higher K value.

4000-4500K is what all OEMs much use from the factory. It's DOT regulation

I had philips ultinons for a little bit,I switched because the bulbs were color shifting not even after a month of having them..I ended up going with Plasma Garage's 5000k bulbs and never turned back 2 years later and no problems yet.
