First, apologies if this has been asked countless times. Search isn't working for me.
I have an 03 sedan with factory HID. I want to replace the headlight assemblies with new ones. A search on eBay for own headlight shows the HID assemblies going for huge money while non HID assemblies for much less.

My question is, are the HID and non HID assemblies the same? Can I buy non HID assemblies and just use my existing ballasts and lights? I think the HID assemblies on eBay are all expensive because they come with the HID components.
