Dome light/Step lights went out

As I was installing my last step light.. I heard a buzzing noise and both step lights and dome lights went out, any ideas....

This is unfortunate.

I just replaced all the yellowish lights in the car with white LED's.

What did I find out from my research?

Be careful with the LED install, some G35Driver members have experienced electrical shorting issues and they needed to have their BCM reprogrammed. Guess what, it isn't cheap either.

Reinstall the old light, and then check the system again. AFTER, check the direct fuses located in the fuse box to see if you blew the ones relating to the MAP lights (Dome). You may find the exact ones by searching (LED Install) or looking at the factory service manual.

It is called the body control module. Like the engine control module, it is a main computer for some of the closed electrical circuit (but not limited to) units in your vehicle.

It can be reprogrammed with special tools (Dealer specific) but this is usually the far extent of the problems caused by installing an LED incorrectly. Troubleshoot first!
