Analog Clock Repair

New G35 owner here.

I bought a used 2008 G35 sedan a couple of weeks ago. A few days after the purchase, I noticed that the light for the analog clock was flickering. It's now out altogether.

After searching some threads here, I figured a bulb or two needed to be replaced. But after pulling out the dash, I'm stumped.

The threads that I found dealt with older G35s--where the analog clock was located on the upper dash panel. On the backside of the clock assembly were two bulbs that could be removed by a screwdriver.

However, the clock assembly on my 08 G35 is not located on the upper dash panel, it's fixed to the radio. After pulling the radio from the dash, I can see the backside of the clock assembly, but it doesn't appear to have slots for the two removable bulbs.

Can I get some help?

I'm new to this sort of stuff, so forgive my ignorance if I'm missing something obvious.

Analog Clock, Infiniti G35

Does the back of your radio/clock combination look like this? http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/MO...160649_clo.pdf. That's for a Infiniti G37, but according to this, there may be several screws that need to be removed.

Yeah, it looks like that. So I separated the preset switch/circuit board from the cluster lid to get a better look at the clock. It looks like the led lights are not removable like on the older G35s. They look like they're soldered on there.

Interesting. The clock light on my 2008 Infiniti G35x flickered for awhile and is now completely out. I wonder if that means I'll need to buy a new clock (I really hope not).
