Top parts of the headlights (D2R bulbs) not working...

Alright guys need some help with my new D2R bulbs on the top portion of the headlights. Well I removed my front rims, front liners are off and have complete few of my bulbs and where they go. I replaced my D2R bulbs on the top and nothing is working. Though when I bought the car and have had it only the bottom bulbs the H1's I haved used, as for the tops never worked. Point they didn't work the previous owner only had one bulb in it. Alright so i purchased 2 new D2R bulbs to go in brand new. I put in the new D2R's on the top and did it the way you are supposed to watched tons of DIY. My lights (D2R's) still dont work. It's not the fuse's, I just checked them all. Dag nabbit... it couldn't be an easy fix

Have you checked your ballast?

Nope... I'm having a feeling that's it. Though I have never replaced one lol. Are they hard to replace or much money if you have someone do it for ya. Also where should I buy them for cheap and not an arm and leg. I know when I try to turn on the high beams I hear a clicking type noise and nothing happens. Could it be the igniter?

Replacing a ballast is extremely simple, just unscrew ballast mounting points and clip off the connector and replace. I've seen a few for sale in our marketplace and Facebook forums, I've even purchased a pair for cheap ($20) off eBay so you can check there as well.

Hard to tell if its the ballast or igniter. What I'd do is buy a single ballast and test both sides with it, if they both work then it's the ballast if not then it's the igniters themselves.
