Ask Neatis, he replaced his stock xenon kit for a brighter one and I think he said he threw out the stock kit (I have no idea why).

Couldn't you still use the stock ballasts and just upgrade the bulbs if you wanted aftermarket HIDs? Why replace everything? I'ves seen sites that advertise HID upgrades and they are just new HID bulb capsules.

Re: Where to get XENON kit?

I know you can try www.autolamps-online.com. I have heard good things about them but never actually did any business with them. They are a little pricey though depending on whether you are going to get Stage 1 (4300K) or Stage 2 (6000K) HIDs. There is also www.hids4less.com. I was considering buying HIDs for my old Xterra but decided against it since the reflector was never designed for HIDs and it would prolly have ended up looking like crap. I was incidentally going to get them from a friend who was a parts dealer and he said about 500 for the Stage 1 kit. But prices have gone down since them I think. Since the G's reflectors are designed for HIDs you should be all set. They have conversion kits available for all types of bulb sizes. Just be weary of converting your fog lights also since you will have to sacrifice a fog light or a high beam since these HID kits are not dual beam. Dual beams are MUCH more expensive. Hope this helps!! P.S. Neatis has 8000K HIDs so I'm not sure how much those cost.

I'm a bit confused here.. now the xenon that comes with the upgrade package, is that a HID? I just assumed that it was but everyone keeps talking about xenon... which I thought was a bulb manufacturer like piaa who makes HID imitation bulbs
