Thumbs up PICS of Dash/Spedometer lights in blue/white!

Hey everybody, here are some pics of my interior lights. Sorry but my camera isn’t that great and it fails to capture the colors accurately. If you look in some pictures of the speedometer, you can see a slight reflection of the color off of the black plastic around the speedometer cluster that represents the true colors. i will try a different camera later. Fyi, I made the speed and rpm gauge white and the fuel and temp readings blue. The mileage display is red, but it turned out kind of orange in the pictures. For the center console, everything is white but the navi joystick buttons, CD player entrance, and ac indicator lights are blue.

HUGE thanks to Rever and G35lin!!!! Couldn’t have done it without you two guys!

Enjoy:

you can really see the reflection of the colors in this pic

Thats EXACTLY what I wanted to do! I saw the gauge cluster on my friend's new Lexus ES, and it has that same look. When I first saw the lexus, I knew I had to have that same lighting setup. WHITE AND RED!

Would you like to do a DIY thread? The forum would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys!

Hmmm, I believe accord freak has several threads that will give you a good idea of how to do this. Maybe lin, rever and myself could work on a more detailed DIY with lots of pics if we find ourselves doing this again for somebody.

On a side note, my CD player died on me (like many other peoples’) before this and when I took it to the dealer, they replaced it without giving me any hassle about going in there and tampering with the lights. I guess you can keep your warranty after doing this?

Wow nice!!!, looks worth it alright. Can it be "completely" done on the '05? Would it match the Momo Module Light shift ****? Can you do something with the color of the cigarette socket light thingy too? Thanks

i didnt directly mention that i tampered with it, but when the dealer rep sat in my car and tested the cd player, the lights were blatantly different. that blue indicator LED is pretty dang bright, even during the day. either he didnt notice or didnt care. he never said anything to me about it.

I have no idea how this would work on an 05. ive never even sat in one! the cigarette socket light can be done too, i just havent gotten around to doing it. some guys on the board have done thoes lights and other ones that are easier to get to (clock)
