blacking out headlights...im stuck!!! need help ASAP!!

blacking out headlights...im stuck!!! need help ASAP!!

well im blacking out my headlights i opened up the headlight and i wana remove the orange turn signal i started dremeling it out but then i ran into this...

see the clear turn signal?? anyone know where i can buy that piece?? dremeling it is a BIaTCH!!

ditto, i really wanna do this too, i went out and bought a drill for it specifically but pussied out and never went through with it

I think most cut a piece out of acrylic lens from a florescent light fixture.

You can get the lens material from Home Depot etc.

ok cool well i got the first one out really clean and now time for the second one..

I left mine open and the reason why is. The other parts of the headlight are op so it looks like the signal shoule be open. I bought a set of amber LED bulbs and they look very nice. Just my .02

i was just thinking the same exact thing as u... whered u get the amber led's?

That entire signal piece is really orange colored, just the chrome parts are plated on. So if you dremel out the amber, you're going to have an orange-colored ring there.

Not if you paint it black or colormatch it to the car. Look at my pic I posted.

Yeah, I know. I ended up painting mine silver. The next time I open up my lights, I'm going to get that entire piece chrome plated.

Did you buy one of those Matrix bulbs? Or the LED tower turn signal bulbs? I find them to be way below stock lighting levels. Also, without amber cover don't you find your signal light to be very directional?

I bought that one I posted. and it looks fine to me. How would a cover effect the direction?

The cover the difuses the light to the side a bit (Notice the ripples).
