Dome lights, or map lights in the G, are (you guessed it) the lights you turn on to read a map when it's dark. Step lights are (...you guessed again) the lights that light up as you open the doors to enter/exit the car... Both use a T-6 bulb I believe....

gonna order some, is the 3022 also what we have in our tag/license plate lights?? I have already swapped my dome/door lights w/ piaa T-6 bulbs but these look much better and will prob. last longer...

 

the tag lights are regular 194 leds,i got the ones that have 6 leds pointing striaght down

 

ok heres one of the trunk "led" the picture totally doesnt do it justice..at all,it looks way nicer in person,and i couldnt get a good enough picture as well here it is..

 

hey psycraft how did you figure out how to change the step light?

 

i looked at it,its under the door..,you have to pry it out and the whole housing will come out..and then take the plstic clear cover off then changet the bulb

 

on autolumination.com, is this the correct size for the MAP LIGHT and the STEP LIGHT

the one ive been wanting to change is the license plate one... Need to get me some leads for the corners anyway..

Would you say the LEDs are brighter or as bright as the stock setup? From the pictures it looks as if they are much dimmer.

 

the leds are way!!! brighter and way nicer looking!! and yes "mrjonang" you are absolutly correct,those are the step lights 31mm 6led and the step lights are 31mm 4 led,warning though,the light is super fat,so just push the sucker right on...on the step lights that is..

Psycraft those LED bulbs definetly gave your ride's interior a unique touch. Good job ..btw which part of FL are you located?

The lights bulbs for the clearance, clear corners, license plate, and trunk are all the same type; and the bulbs for the dome and for the side step are the same.

You can get the bulb type and all other info from the infiniti manual. the manual also shows how to change some of these bulbs...

 

K, thanks sage for clearning that up. Anyone here change there dome/map lights to blue? can you even see anything ? lol

 

psycraft - are these LED's straight up swaps? No resistors needed right?
