Re: Fog Light Bulb Upgrade PICs

there is actually a new type of PIAA blub that are design for FOG, SNOW, RAIN, (slightly yellow/gold tint)

i think these would be great for our foglights. but i'm sure it wont look as good as the Super Plasma blub

How do you get to the lights to replace them? It looks like you have to go in through the wheel well.

Wondering if anyone knows where I can find the PIAA Ion Yellow H-4 bulbs? It's not up on their website. An input is greatly appreciated.

I believe those are the ones. Ordered directly from Sylvania's website? Are you doing the install yourself?

Where did cadillaccarl get the yellow PIAA bulbs? They are not on the website and the dealer hasn't heard of them.

Actually, I was under the impression that your fogs (H-4s) were Ion yellow as well. If this is the case, are they PIAAs or some other brand? Could you post pics?

nadz240,

using plasma bulbs won't cause you to lose your fog/high beam functionality right? pretty good alternative to bi-xenon kits?
What color temp were your bulbs? how do you like them so far?

The plasma bulbs will let you keep high/low beam but I don't really like them anymore. I kinda wish that I had gone with silverstars or xtreme whites for a closer HID matchup. The super plasma GTs look too purplish. In fact, I turned my fogs off. If it wasn't such a chore, I'd go out and get some silverstars and put them in but having to go through that process again is daunting.

BlueVision bulbs aren't much brighter than stock, similar to 'Cool Blues' from Sylvania. Philips VisionPlus is the way to go with Philips.
