Advice on fog light swap

I need some advice on these Luminics blue 6000k bulbs that I'm thinking of using to replace my stock fogs. I mostly interested in the look and think the blue would be pretty cool. For $30, I figure why not but have a few concerns.

1) Is 6000k safe to use? I've read that these hotter than stock bulbs can cause problems.
2) Are there any legal issues with running blue front lights? I'm already running w/o the front plate and don't need another reason to be pulled over.
3) Anyone using blue or purple fogs? I would love to see pics. Most people seem to prefer going with bright whites but I want color.

Thanks.

I dont think 6000K bulbs run any hotter than the 3000K ones, its just the color difference. Somone correct me if I am wrong. Also personally I think those bulbs are TOO blue. Unless you have bi xenons, you wont be able to see $hit with those bulbs when using your high beams. Blue lights are illegal, but depends how bored the cop is on a particular day for him to pull you over, so you can take your chances.

In my old 300zx, I used some bulbs similar to these that used more power than the stock bulbs. When one burned out and I went to change it, I discovered that the stock wiring connector was messed up. The bulbs were using too much power, and it looked like the connector was burnt or melted.

If you do go with higher wattage bulbs, check your wiring every once in a while to make sure it's ok.

Then again, maybe they are putting better components in cars now...
