HID in lower grill?

What needs to be done to have HID in lower grill. Basically what got me start thinking is that I have just installed a second pair of HID in my friends Mazda 6, and now it makes my HID seems like halogen next to him at night. I read about making the stock Fog/High into HID but i have great got enough heat from Piaa H4 bulbs to crack my headlight housing.
So i was thinking to add Hella Micro DE projector HID fogs to my car in the lower grill. but what needs to be done to add it? like custom mounting hardware and stuff? or other suggestions?

I have HID in my lower grill, I used hella MircoDE fog projectors and did an H3 hid swap for a custom hid projector.

yea WRAH i was looking through your post, I want to do some similiar setup. Sorry to copy you, but i really find that our stock HID is so dim. And this Hella Micro DE Fog ($135) + Xtec 5000k H3 HID Kit ($315) = $450 cheaper and brighter than other options. And it would look stock.

WRAH can you show us how did you manage to mount the fog lights? Because i cant think of a way to mount it and it would be secure enough. And how did you make it look blended into the grills? there is like a cover around the projector? where did you get that?

I'm the master...... I bent 12mm thick aluminum to make two brackets that are mounted onto the aluminum bumper via bolts. The fog lights get mounted to the new brakets. I used a laser sight to keep everything level letting me mark where to cut the plastic mesh. I used black aluminum "tins" found in the outdoor floral at Graden Ridge. I used JBweld to glue them to the plastic. The caps/covers to the tins come off to allow for adjustment and are held on by a little screw.

I take pictures for you, but that requires me to take my car apart and I don't have time for that, but I'm more than happy to anwser any questions you have.

GoodLuck!

wow, dont take off the bumper just for the pictures. but reading that u using laser sight and 12mm aluminum sound like you are really a master. Im still at the planning stage for this mod, im broke after the amp and sub install. 1 question does the grill come off the bumper? just say i messed up the cutting the mesh can i get replacment or do i have to get a new bumper?

how hard was to do the adjustments? and like which part of the road is lite up now with these HID fog?

The grill is molded into the bumper you if you screw up your fvcked! It easy to adjust the way I did it. Your hands can reach under before you button it up, for left right adjustment. Up down can be done right through the grill.

On a stock infiniti, (I made custom Projectors) the fog blends right into the old fog OEM pattern, and it a LOT wider. Now that I just have the HID fog projectors and HID top projectors they are about the same starting about 1' in front of the car. They are a little wider than the projector top pattern.

I could use a wider beam in those mountain roads. It's alittle scary driving around blind turns estimating the curvature with the Navigation map.
