I assume you are talking about the "citylight" on the 06' assemblies? (the pre-06 doesn't have any other lights that stay on with the headlights, other than the clearance strip and turn signal).

If that is the case, just remove the bulb. Why would you want to cut the line?

You didnt say if its an 05 or 06. I was assuming you had an 05 in which case my statement stands, if its an 06 then yeah you need to get rid of the city light bulb.

I have a 2004 G35C and the fogs dont turn off either? Couldnt figure our why I had a foglight switch that didnt appear to do anything ?! Is there anyway that the wiring is somehow not bypassing the running lights or something!? Essentially my question is, How the heck do I turn these things off using the switch on the steering wheel arm?

Ummmm. The switch on the turn signal stalk turns off the fogs. If they aren't turning your foglight off, it's because your high-beams are on, which uses the same bulb.

Thanks for the response...Like I mentioned...I am aware that the switch on the signal stalk turns off the fogs, but that doesnt work (hence the purpose of my post!)...and NO...the highbeams are not on...been driving for about 7 years and am quite aware of my "beam status"...but thanks again for the response...

If the switch on your signal stalk doesn't turn off your fogs, then either the switch is broken or your Body Control Module is broken. I have an 04' Coupe as well, and I assure you, the switch works fine....

This part confused me... What running lights? (You're not talking about a canadian G35 are you?) I know with the TL, the foglights are actually daytime-running-lights on canadian models, and as such, you can't turn em' off.

The BCM is under the dash on the left side, next to the fuse block. I believe it's behind the kickpanel on the left side near the clutch/parking brake.

The foglight is part of "System 4", when you refer to this diagnostic that doesn't require the Consult-II:
