hmmm when you guys bake those headlights make sure you wrap many layers of foil around the bracket that holds your headlight above the heating unit of the oven because if you dont and the headlight gets too close to that heating unit the bottom portion of your headlgiht will melt off. (like the place where your suppose to insert screws to hold you light in place) I learned this the hard way....

Like mooka said, 210 will not melt plastic but if it touches the element that is much hotter than 210.

I personally like using the oven more. It takes me much longer to open up headlights with the heat gun, 30 minutes vs. 10 minutes. But the heat gun is much safer when it comes to protecting the plastic.
I installed the CCFL clearance bars. That was one of the easier parts of the retrofit, and everything worked the first time. Pics are somewhere in the coupe forum.
