I think the bags were deployed...Look to on the passenger side...Even if he didn't hit the sensor the air will deploy at that speed. Reason is the senors are no longer impact sensors they are decelerater sensors. The measure the rate the car decelerating to prevent accident bag deployment. Problems with airbags before was if you run straight into a pole right in the middle of the car the bags sometimes won't deploy...

airbags were deployed, and my friend was driving a 04 accord coupe (fully stopped waiting for somebody in front to make a left turn which also got hit btw)

the point of the thread was also to show how safe both cars are, nobody got hurt not one bruise or scratch.

Yeh 45mph is really really fast. And if there was absolutely no braking involved then that looks actually good for what should've happened.

the guy was playing with his phone, not paying attention at all. My friend did not make a sudden stop he was sitting there for a good 10 seconds before this guy plowed him.... the accord wasnt totaled, had about 10k of damage but the insurance will be paying it off, as they say its not a total loss. as for the infiniti, i have no idea whats going on with his insurance

it's scary. i know and have seen people who dial or text while driving. i will even admit to texting once or twice while behind the wheel. that's scary especially when sitting in the passenger seat. only then when i see how long their eyes are off the road do i get totally scared. up to 10 seconds can pass while on that keypad! i know looking at the damage is bad, but i'm glad that nobody was hurt! not even whiplash? that's amazing. remember, eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.

I beg to differ, under certain conditions there will be intermittent/gap skid marks in which the darker mark is where the wheels locked up and the lighter marks is where the ABS kicked in to pulsate the brakes. But in most cases, the skid marks from a ABS equipped car will not be seen.
