Never said anything about a new G, just G25... I would believe that the completely redesigned G would not come out until 2012 Model year ( or end of 2011 )

Remember, these two models are going to be shown at Pebble Beach. That isn't the G25's target market. These cars are going to have a price point of the M and above.

If these cars are new entry level models, I don't think it will be a G25 because these appear to be completely new. The G25 would simply be a G with less hp. If Infinti went through the hassles of showing brushstrokes and these cars end up being 2010 g's with 250+ hp, I'm going to be very disappointed.

Car connection interviewed Infiniti's VP and he said the following amongst other things:

The other two products in the pipeline haven't been confirmed, but Poore hints broadly that a pair of cars smaller than the current Infiniti G37 sedans are coming to the Infiniti display at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August. And though German automakers like Mercedes and BMW have had less than stellar track records with hatchbacks, he suggests these smaller cars will be hatches--but perhaps with more sedan-like styling cues, like the crop of concepts that include vehicles like the upcoming Audi A7.

One will be a mass-market vehicle, Poore says, while the other will have a coupelike roofline and will be aimed at performance buyers.

One will be a new smaller economical 4dr hatch and the other a performance 2dr coupe based on the GTR, let's hope

Yeah, that's where I'm getting stuck as well. It seems like it would have to be extensions of the G family considering the sketches. We know the G25 is already out in other markets so it was only a matter of time before they brought it here.

The second car is baffling, though. Like you said, it doesn't make much sense to come out with a performance version of a G coupe after the mid-cycle refresh, does it?

I've heard so many versions of this report, I'm not sure what to believe, lol.
