Reminds me of the A5, though it doesn't flow too well:

Id get one, the biggest engine they offer unless they offer a BOOSTED engine. But it has to look better than the G. And i dont mean G37 i mean G35.

That was a lame attempt at a F&F quote.

Production Version of the Essence? Edmunds Thinks So...

Infiniti officials told an a group of journalists yesterday that it would use the annual Pebble Beach weekend to introduce two new models that would go on sale this fall. Judging from the sketches, one of them is likely to be an M coupe similar to the one we showed you last week.

And the other? Well, we would bet on a production version of the Essence show car. It's been championed by plenty of top executives at the company and the announcement said only one of these cars would be a "volume seller." That leaves the door open for a halo car like the Essence and its ultra-expensive hybrid drivetrain.

Here are the sketches:

I think those are the sketches of the G sedan and coupe so I'm not sure what they see...

Hmmm! If you read the autoblog article in the link I posted they are very vague. I'm thinking top brushstroke is G25 sedan and bottom is nismo G coupe ala nismo370z..... elementary my dear Watson....they do say one is to be their "volume seller" and the second to be more "performance oriented" and both based of off current models and going where Infiniti has never gone before.... I say this is all coming together now... hmmmmm

Although it would make sense if it were the new G, what doesn't fit is the date its going on sale. Fall is too early. Sales are up on the refreshed 2010 G and I'm certain Infinti will milk those sales until at least next year.

More interestingly, we've been told that both models will "extend Infiniti into an area we haven't been before" and that one of those models will be more "performance oriented.

Hmmmm. This could certainly be describing a performance oriented version of the G. That release date is just too early as I see it.
