^if thats the new 5 then I don't like the looks of it. The new M hybrid commercials sold me on that. It looks really nice and has the MPG to boot. Audi makes nice cars too but DA*M that bimmer is ugly.

It might be ugly but it's the kind of thing that you look at and say, "that thing's nasty...in a x6 sort of way."

That's the 5 GT, the 5 Sedan doesn't look like that.

did you look at the new GS350. that should be in the running. It's got a great looking interior with a huge screen. Don't really like the exterior but from what Ive read they drive really nice now.

as far as your other choices, I was in the same boat as you last year. Test drove a bunch of cars in the class. I had it finally narrowed down between the 5-series and the M. The 5 was a nice car and I almost bought one but the reliabilty factor drove me away. I'm just not comfortable with having a turbo car for a daily driver that I will keep for many years and decided to go naturally aspirated. In the end I'm driving a M56S and have no regrets.

I would go with the M. It's likely going to be more reliable in the long term and is a great performer. The M may be a little too sporty, but I think its a good mix of sport and luxury. The 5 series is a little more balanced between sport and luxury, but the current 5 series handles worse than its predecessor thanks to its electric steering.

I would also indeed check out the new Lexus GS. It's a complete redesign and just came out. It looks like a huge improvement over the previous gen in every facet.
