Question M35x quality/reliability

I'm interested in getting the new 2007 G35x, but I have some reservations about buying a first year model. Were there any quality/reliability issues with the 2006 M35x ?

thanks.

I can't speak from personal experience...but according to consumer reports the M series got one of the highest ratings out of all cars in general.

I've never bought a first year model so I'm a little concerned. I don't think I can wait until the '08 model (I'm getting tired of renting). Part of my concern is also related to the 2003-04 G35's quality issues, mostly with the interior. Based on what I've read, it looks like the G35 will probably inherit big brother's improved interior. I went to the show yesterday, and the '07 is definitely on my short list.

MikeyMike, I just did a little research and it appears that most M owners are satisfied with the quality of their vehicles so the CR report appears to be accurate. I don't always rely on CR, but the forums seem to indicate this as well so I think they're on the money.

I rented a 2005 G35 RWD last year (just under 9,000 miles) and the quality of the interior could have been a little better. I only heard one rattle coming from the driver's side and it had something to do with vibrations coming from the sound system. Other than the interior quality and sucky sound system, everything else was fine.
