Just signed up. Been looking over the forum. LOTS of stuff on here...and that is good cuz I'm a reader and a curious person.


I'll get straight to my question and hope someone out there can tell me what I should/should not look for in a G. I'm also considering an Audi S5 so......


So, I've found a silver '03 G35 coupe automatic with a factory aero package and with the premium package. 97k miles. It also has:


-TURBONETICS 60-1/STAGE V .77 A/R URBOCHARGER
-TURBONETICS EVOLUTION WASTEGATE
-TURBONETICS RAPTOR BLOW OFF VALVE
-TREADSTONE FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER
-BLACK CHROME ANODIZED ALUMINUM CHARGE PIPING
-Gunmetal TSW WHEELS


Having owned only 1 turbocharged vehicle (91 Eagle Talon Tsi), I am really looking forward to seeing what this puppy is capable of. It would be a daily driver so I wouldn't be thrashing it much; just the occasional spirited drive. I have not test driven it yet as I don't want to fall in love with it before I get more facts on what to look for.


What should I be wary of? Are there any trouble signs to look for? Is that combo a good one? Am I crazy stupid for considering it? Thanks all for taking the time to read this!

 

If you turbo the older generation, just set money aside because your going to blow your motor unless you rebuild it when you do the turbo install.

 

Perhaps I wasn't clear.....everything is already installed.... I've attached a picture of the engine bay.
