Quick question fellas.

Has anyone ever got the HD trunk lip and molded it on to their stock OEM trunk?? If so any downside or upside?

If not, does everyone just buy the entire HD trunk and replace it with the stock?

Mainly want to know the pros and cons of getting each.

never knew there was such a thing as a "HD trunk lip"?

pretty much everyone just goes with the trunk and replace the oem, you can see mine on the previous page

I plan on the lip next time, to keep the OEM fitment (trunk itself) and then add the subtle bump

I've seen some people custom mold a lip onto their OEM trunk to mimic the look of the HD trunk to save fitment issues.

Buddy of mine chopped the lip off of his HD trunk and had it molded on to his OEM trunk. Perfect fit with a the lip on the top, instead of the wafer thin fiberglass and God awful fitment that HD is known to have.

I'm really not feeling that ride height.... it just looks off. Not saying you need to be slammed or anything, but it just looks weird.

The duck bill trunk is nothing but a replica of the Gialla trunk spoiler. They just made the whole trunk instead of the spoiler, charge people more $$ that way.

IMO just buy the authentic one and mold it on.
Cost as much as a trunk itself plus its authentic

I know guys...They are H-Techs...Def lower then stock but not low enough..Car handles great thou...I paired them with Tokico Blues...Rear spring mount mod would help but coilovers would be a better option...Down the road im getting different wheels more then likely and will go back to performance..So a mild drop is a better option for me for that..Tnx for your comments

^-- Everything looks good minus the height, but that can be fixed.

Well there is a vendor here that is selling the HD trunk in FG for 420 shipped vs for just the lip is 190 shipped.

Makes since to just get the lip and get it molded on to keep stock fitment.

my G handles amazing with being this low and my other susp. mods.... you will be perfectly fine with atleast 2-3" or even 4" lower than that

the neg camber helps cornering and the lower the center of gravity the better
